How to Obtain Melzar’s Map Piece for RS Gold Hunters

Before anything else, you will need the maze key from before, recovery items (food), and a decent set of combat equipment when you buy Runescape gold. Melzar’s map piece is found within Melzar’s Maze, south of the crafting guild. To progress through the challenging maze, you will have to get past several locked doors, using the keys monsters within the maze will drop. With each group of monsters, there is one specific monster that differentiates itself from the others, and can be used to find the respective key quickly. You don’t really have to rush this quest as it is a good area to farm rsgold and level-grind.

First Room, Second Room, and Third Room for RS Gold Hunters

Assuming you have already stacked up on items you purchased with cheap RS gold, carry on to the next area. The first room is a large room filled with zombie rats. The red key can be obtained from killing the small zombie rat with the long tail. Once you have obtained the key, open the north western door and proceed up the ladder. The second room is home to the ghosts. You can obtain the orange key from the ghost with the cape, not a hood. Obtain the key and head through the middle door, second from the north on the eastern wall, and then ascend the ladder to the third room. Use recovery items first if you are low on health. The third room houses skeletons. To obtain the yellow key, kill the skeleton with a round shield. After killing it, use the key on the south western door and descend the ladders until you reach the basement.

The Basement for RS Gold Hunters

In the basement, you will fight two zombies. Unlike the other rooms, there is no way to tell which zombie will drop the key, but one of them will drop it. After killing them, proceed to the next room where you must fight Melzar the Mad. He will drop the magenta key once you defeat him. Use this key on the magenta-colored door to progress to the final room.

The Final Room for RS Gold Hunters

In the final room, you will face off against a lesser demon who will drop the final green key. Don’t worry; it is weaker than the other lesser demons, but you should be careful as it still uses magic attacks that can hurt. Keep attacking and take some consumables if you need to, until it is successfully defeated. Once it is slain and you take its key, open the final green door and retrieve the map piece from the chest, then climb up the ladder and exit the building through the entrance, though you may also teleport out if you want. Replenish your items with cheap Runescape gold before heading to the next part of the Dragon Slayer quest.
